CAT Aviation Appoints Thomas Hauser as Chief Commercial Officer

A fresh commercial perspective builds on almost four decades of Swiss business aviation expertise as CAT Aviation looks ahead to its next chapter.

Zurich, Switzerland, 24 September 2026. As CAT Aviation approaches its 40th anniversary in 2027, the Swiss private aviation company is looking ahead to its next chapter with the appointment of Thomas Hauser as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
The appointment brings a fresh commercial perspective into an established business with almost four decades of experience. For CAT Aviation, it is not about changing course, but about building on the knowledge, relationships and reputation developed over the past 39 years while continuing to evolve for the future.
Thomas brings a background spanning business aviation, business development and luxury hospitality. Before joining CAT Aviation, he spent five years in charter brokerage and business development, including as Managing Director for the DACH region. Earlier in his career, he worked in client-facing roles within luxury hotels in London and Lucerne and studied Hospitality Business & Hotel Management at EHL.
His appointment brings another perspective into CAT Aviation's leadership at an important moment for the company, combining the experience already within the business with a new generation of commercial thinking.
Helene Niedhart, Founder & CEO, CAT Aviation, said:
“As we approach 40 years of CAT Aviation, it feels like a natural moment to think not only about what we have built, but about what comes next. Thomas brings new energy and a fresh perspective to the team, while sharing the values that have always been important to CAT Aviation. This isn't about changing who we are. It's about building on almost four decades of experience and continuing to evolve with our clients and our industry.”
For Thomas, joining CAT Aviation ahead of its anniversary provides an opportunity to contribute to that next chapter while respecting the foundations already in place.
Thomas Hauser, Chief Commercial Officer at CAT Aviation, said:
“What attracted me to CAT Aviation is the strength of what is already here. Approaching 40 years in this industry says a lot about the relationships, knowledge and trust the company has built. I see my role as bringing a fresh perspective to that foundation. I want to combine my experience in hospitality, charter brokerage and business development with the expertise already within CAT Aviation, and work together as a team to shape what comes next.”
Thomas's career has consistently centred around people, service and commercial growth. His previous experience includes opening the Zurich office of LunaJets and expanding charter brokerage operations across the DACH market. He describes his approach as optimistic and solution-oriented, with a focus on connecting people and remaining calm under pressure.
As CAT Aviation moves towards its 40th anniversary in 2027, Thomas's appointment marks the beginning of the build-up to an important milestone. One that celebrates the company's heritage while opening the conversation about its next chapter.
